But you will be rewarded with some of the best views in the world!

Detailed itinerary

DAY 1 - Arrival Day

Arrive at Rome airport and transfer to your hotel on the Amalfi coast. Orientation briefing and welcome stroll and aperitivo! Dinner and overnight

DAY 2 - Manarola, Corniglia, Riomaggiore

An easy introduction to the Cinque Terre. The path has steep sections at both ends and it leads through some of the nicest terrain through incredible terraces with vineyards and olive groves. Many flat parts introduce you to the territory before you hit the lover’s lane, the most popular stretch of the Cinque Terre, excavated in rocks overhanging the sea. Have a rest along the path on one of the many benches and enjoy!

DAY 3 - Monterosso, Vernazza

On staircases and paths, sometimes broad, sometimes narrow and without protection on the side of the sea but always with panoramas to die for, this walk is quite long but not difficult with some of the best views of this land. Vegetation changes often, you’ll cross antique stone bridges and the views when approaching Vernazza will take your breath away.

DAY 4 - Levanzo, Monterosso

Leaving Levanzo from the beach promenade, passing an old castle, we’ll take the donkey trail into the pine woods. Reach Punta Mesco and the old lighthouse. Again the views are unique. Get ready for the many stairs down to Monterosso. Once there, award yourself with a nice drink in one of the many bars at the sea front.

DAY 5 - Carrara marble

Leave the Cinque Terre and head to Carrara for a visit of the marble quarries. Pure adrenalin and yet so fascinating! On the way back, enjoy a visit of La Spezia, the biggest town in the area and e real beauty.

DAY 6 - Riomaggiore, Portovenere

This challenging hike starts with a long ascent, then it leads through silent pine woods. Have a rest at the Sanctuary of Montenero. From here you have breath-taking views onto the entire Cinque Terre coastline. Continue the walk on a spectacular cliff-side path with magnificent views onto Elba and Corsica. Enjoy the town of Portovenere, a true gem.

DAY 7 - Palmaria Island

You are guaranteed fantastic scenic views of Portovenere and this part of the Gulf of La Spezia. A pleasant walk and day, not difficult at all on gentle dirt roads up to Roccio, considered one of the most beautiful terraces of Liguria. Explore the southern part of the island overlooking the tiny isle of Tino and walk back from where you started.

DAY 8 - Departure

Transfer to Rome airport for departure.
